Term: July-December 2026 (July-September retroactively) Budget: Up to US$5,500 Funding: 2,825 USDC carried forward, plus ETH from the main DAO L1 multisig swapped for an additional 2,675 USDC at approval Receiving Wallet:

1. Purpose
Fund essential DAO administration, security, treasury reporting, core technical maintenance and non-game infrastructure. Squiddy leads operations, supported by Sire, with Redbeard responsible for core technical maintenance.
Game development, marketing & comms and game infrastructure are covered by a separate proposal. This does not renew the previous Ecosystem Team’s broader remit.
2. DAO operations
Squiddy will:
- Manage Discord, permissions, security controls and official links.
- Handle general DAO enquiries and route technical issues to developers.
- Support proposals, voting and execution of approved decisions.
- Coordinate approved multisig transactions without changing signer authority.
- Maintain treasury reporting, public execution records and basic operational documentation.
- Keep DAO websites and token/collection information accurate through light updates.
Sire supports routine enquiries, governance summaries, veLORDS updates, treasury reporting and security triage. Squiddy oversees its access and material outputs. Sire has no authority to approve spending or execute treasury transactions.
Routine Loot / RoyaltyDAO signing continues without additional funding. Future proposals requiring hands-on treasury or operational work must fund that work separately.
3. Core technical maintenance
Allocate 1,000 USDC to Redbeard for agreed historical unpaid upkeep, existing fixes and ongoing maintenance of the account section, bridging interfaces and veLORDS.
The developer will investigate escalated issues, implement and test fixes, communicate progress and maintain enough documentation for another developer to assist.
Response expectations are acknowledgement within two working days during agreed availability, with critical issues prioritised. These expectations will be agreed with the developer and do not imply guaranteed fix times or 24-hour coverage.
Squiddy has the remit to engage and task a secondary developer for fixes, diagnosis and recovery using the additional 1,000 USDC developer reserve. This is not limited to periods when Redbeard is unavailable. Squiddy agrees the work and cost, avoids duplicate payment and follows existing treasury payment controls.
The reserve is for core DAO maintenance, not unrelated features. Game-specific infrastructure remains outside this proposal. Backup availability depends on the secondary developer’s agreed coverage.
4. Infrastructure and budget
Essential non-game hosting, domains, the DAO agent’s subscription and server, and Discord boosts cost approximately US$168 per month. The rounded six-month allowance is US$1,100, allowing for small cost variations and paid at actual cost within that limit.
- Squiddy: US$200 to US$400 per month depending on hours required, capped at US$2,400 for the term.
- Hosting and subscriptions: US$1,100.
- Redbeard’s upkeep, fixes and maintenance package: 1,000 USDC.
- Restricted developer reserve: 1,000 USDC.
- Total budget ceiling: US$5,500.
The confirmed 2,825 USDC remaining from the previous Ecosystem Team allocation will fund part of this budget. The additional 2,675 USDC will be funded in ETH and swapped to USDC at approval, using the execution rate at that time. USDC is budgeted at US$1 per token.
The carry-forward is included in the total, not added on top. Compensation and service costs are separate, and costs already paid under another allocation cannot be claimed again. Unspent funds return to the treasury unless the DAO approves carrying them forward.
5. MIDAO wrapper review
Squiddy will coordinate a review of the existing MIDAO legal wrapper before renewal, covering its costs, obligations, protections and alternatives. Findings and a recommendation will be brought to the DAO before the relevant deadline, followed by coordination of the approved decision.
The annual MIDAO fee is US$5,000. The renewal date and notice deadlines will be confirmed as part of the review. This proposal covers review coordination only. The renewal fee is not included in this budget. Renewal, material legal advice and transition costs require separate DAO approval.
6. Accountability and limits
Material treasury actions, operational changes and risks will be communicated as needed. A record of technical fixes and reserve spending will be maintained, with an end-of-term summary of work, expenditure and remaining funds. There is no monthly reporting requirement.
This proposal excludes game operations, marketing, studio support, business development, travel, major redevelopment and smart-contract audits.
Material scope changes or spending above the approved budget require further DAO approval. Existing treasury controls remain unchanged, and the mandate does not automatically renew.
7. Vote
A Yes vote approves the scope and budget above, use of the 2,825 USDC carry-forward, and additional ETH funding to obtain 2,675 USDC. It authorises Squiddy to coordinate delivery and task developers within the approved scope and budget.
A No vote does not approve this funding or mandate.
